With five generations and over a hundred years of experience under our belt, we feel it’s safe to say that we’ve perfected the art of serving Dagwood Dogs. Don’t just take our word for it – the reviews posted by people who have thoroughly enjoyed their Dagwood Dogs and the other treats we serve are a testament to the quality and freshness of our food.
While Americans may know them as corn dogs, they’ve also been called Dippy Dogs or Pluto Pups closer to home. Their American origin is also evident in their name – which comes from an old cartoon strip that featured Blondie and her husband Dagwood.
Although our food trucks in the Gold Coast have earned a reputation for the delicious Dagwood Dogs we sell, we initially started selling fairy floss on the beaches in Newcastle.
-
Our little family business expanded, and we began selling waffles, Dagwood Dogs, toffee apples, and fairy floss at agricultural shows.
-
The next generation of our family also had their own food tent and eventually started selling our treats from food trailers.
-
We’re proud to be the fifth generation in our family business, continuing to serve our hand-stuck and hand-dipped fresh Dagwood Dogs to crowds and families at the shows we attend. From major agricultural to smaller shows, look out for our distinctive food truck and come and enjoy one of our fresh Dagwood Dogs or other show food treats.
-
If you are a coeliac or prefer a gluten-free Dagwood option, please ask; our friendly staff will be happy to assist you.
Feel free to check out the schedule on our website if you’d like to find out where our trucks are headed – you’ll also find updates and information on our social media pages.
